With indescribable enthusiasm. That´s how Karina Afonso faces each new project. Throw the 20 years of career as an architect, wich two of them were based in London with her friend Eugenie Van Harinxma, a successful partnership that still remains until nowadays with projects built here and outside Brazil. Houses, stores, apartments, all of them are closed followed throw all the stages until it is finished.
Graduated at the Mackenzie University, Karina has so far maintained the interior design as the main focus of interest among her projects. During all these years of career, many projects were designed for housing, stores and institutional places. Her projects bring together a contemporaneous style with local quality references, looking for natural elements and what technology can bring the best for a better efficiency and aesthetics.
Full of brightness, the spaces are very well integrated to each other in order to bring a full sensation of comfort and sophistication. At the first look you will be able to find out the personal taste of Karina, where all the aspects come together in a harmonic way, specially the furnitures, sometimes designed under specific measures to attend specific requirements and compositions.
Aware of what is trending in Brazil and around the world, Karina is permanently attending important international and national events, as the main furniture´s exhibitions in Milan and Paris, and also being part as a member from the main Brazilian design exhibitions such as “Casa Cor”, “Mostra Black” and “Mostra Artefacto”. Karina believes that being part of these main events it is extremely important for following what is trending at the interior design market and also to present her style among the design world.
